Coca Cola Beverags of Duluth is seeking an Operations Manager for the Duluth, MN  branch.  Coca-Cola is one of the most recognized brands on Earth!  Come join our team, representing many of the finest beverages available anywhere. 

The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise VCC and First Choice Route drivers, relief drivers, overnight exp drivers, bulk drivers, warehouse staff including first and second shift staff, by providing direction, guidance, counseling, and monitoring performance. Responsibility of facility and grounds. Management of all operating expenses. This position must maintain consistent operating procedures to insure quality and effective customer service.


Duties and Responsibilities will include;

  • Assisting in any manner possible to insure CCBD customers are given quality service.
  • Overseeing follow-up on any Streamware Dex issues.
  • Ensuring dunnage, recyclables and returned products are shipped back to distribution centers per company guidelines.
  • Inspecting and schedules company vehicles for maintenance, cleanliness, vehicle washes or service related needs.
  • Managing CCBD routes for efficiency.
  • Ensuring planograms and brand order is followed.
  • Auditing cash office monthly
  • Conducting monthly plant inspections
  • Conducting P.R.I.D.E. (vehicle) inspections and submits for approval
  • Riding with route drivers a minimum of two to three days per week
  • Assisting in hiring and training CCBD employees,  including route drivers, relief drivers, overnight exp drivers, bulk drivers, and warehouse staff.
  • Monitoring spoilage and outdate control through ordering, merchandising and monitoring drivers and accounts.
  • Participating in the development of department goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring that company management principles, policies and programs are consistently practiced and enforced.
  • Training employees on how to operate machines safely and efficiently. Identifing training needs and delivering training.
  • Promoting and enforcing a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA, DOT and company policies and procedures with efforts to reduce work-related injuries.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of all training programs designed to improve employee knowledge and skill levels.
  • Monitoring and managing all Key Business Indicators that measure productivity and efficiency
  • Maintaining the branch facility/warehouse by coordinating repairs, security, cleanliness, organization, OSHA compliance, etc. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Supervising CCBD route personnel; providing direction, guidance, counseling, and monitoring performance.
  • Maintaining consistent operating procedures to insure quality and effective customer service.
  • Maintaining inventory control; including ordering, checking in deliveries, checking out and in trucks, taking inventory and accounting for any shortages.


Requirements include;

  • High School education or equivalent required.
  • Warehouse, Tractor / Trailer and Beverage vending experience helpful.
    • Requires basic math skills for counting inventory.
    • Requires eye and hand coordination to fill machines.
    • Requires strong communication skills.
    • Requires a valid Class C driver's license, and health card with satisfactory completion of a Motor Vehicle Check according to the Vehicle Safety Policy.
    • It is preferred that Operations manager  have and maintains a class A license
    • Requires writing and organization skills to complete paperwork.
    • Must have a thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
    • Knowledge of principals, methods that pertain to the management of the route vehicles and driving practices.
